Beneficiaries of NYCN solar power training wow guests with expertise at graduation

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ogbomoso zone concluded its 5-day solar installation training programme Friday, 10th January, 2025 with a grand graduation ceremony.
The event which took place at the NYCN Ogbomoso zonal office around Takie area, was the closing ceremony of the five-day intensive training that commenced on Monday 6th January, 2025.
“It is a remarkable showcase of the beneficiaries’ newly acquired skills, highlighting their dedication and the quality of the training provided,” Comrade Mathew Oyewusi, zonal chairman of the association stated.
The initiative is indeed another demonstration of the association’s commitment to youth empowerment and skill acquisition towards setting a benchmark for impactful initiatives in Ogbomosoland.
The graduation ceremony was an avenue for the beneficiaries “to parade their captivating skill and was an eloquent demonstration of their expertise in solar power installation to the admiration of the guests. This segment of the event provided a clear picture of the participants’ transformation through the training,” Comrade Oyewusi added.

Prominent guests at the ceremony included Barrister Dr. Afolabi Ayobola, who was the guest speaker; Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulrauf, CEO of Luthonia Tech Ltd; Comrade Dr. Ajani Oluranti; and Chief Abdulfatai AbdulGanny.
In separate speeches the guests lauded the initiative while congratulating the beneficiaries.
They also charged them to be “good ambassadors of the programme,” urging them to “demonstrate their appreciation to NYCN by remaining committed to applying their knowledge effectively in service to humanity.”
Barrister Ayobola in his address, enjoined the beneficiaries “to always honour their appointments with their clients, maintain integrity, express confidence in their abilities and always network themselves for the progress of their businesses.”
This is as zonal NYCN chairman, Oyewusi, in his speech expressed pride and joy over the success of the program, praising the commitment of the beneficiaries and reiterated the importance of continuous learning:
“Let me use this medium to congratulate you all on this great feat. However, just as I said during the opening ceremony, we are only giving you the root base. After today, you will go out to learn more to acquire the stem and branches that will eventually make you stand on your own.”

He also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the facilitator, Comr. Moses Joel, CEO of Ogo Oluwa Electrical and Solar Power Installation, as well as other stakeholders who contributed to the program’s success.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants, along with solar power installation equipment to aid them in starting their post – training journey.
