Tributes as late Fumman CEO’s mother is laid to rest

The mother of the founder and chairman of Fumman Nigeria, Mr. Layi Adeyemi, who died few years ago, Madam Deborah Adeyemi, was last Saturday June 24, laid to rest.

The event was well attended especially by the staff of Fumman Nigeria and members of Ogbomoso Pivotal Club (OPC) Lagos, that was one chaired by Mr. Adeyemi.

Lots of tributes poured in, eulogizing Mama Adeyemi.
Mr. Joel Olugbemiga Owoade, current president of Ogbomoso Pivotal Club said several members of the club came to accord the deceased ”the last respects” in honour of the contribution of the Fumman chairman to OPC and humanity in general.
“What Otunba Emmanuel Layi Adeyemi did in Pivotal Club cannot be forgotten. That’s why many of us in the club are present to honour his mother. Mama was a good mother, she left a good mark, she lived a life worthy of emulation. The venues were filled to capacity, that showed her good naturedness,” Owoade asserted.
Areago Aale Okelerin, Chief Oyedele Omotayo also described her as “a good mother, accommodating and lived well.”
Alhaji Taofeeq Adetoro, general manager of Fumman, an Offa Kwara state indigene, enthused the deceased was accorded a befitting burial saying “it is deserving, Otunba Adeyemi was a nice person so also was mama. The other children should emulate their mother.”
LlIn his own, Adebukula Ezekiel, farm manager at Ajaawa/Ajaase farm of Fumman, submitted, “She was a Christian mother, who trusted in God, fond of praying for people and joyful always.”
He informed Fumman Farms Ajaawa is about 400 acres, very organized farm with large cashew and mango plantations and respected throughout the world.
Adebukola disclosed mama was a pillar of support for the farm, “we thank God for her life, she took great interest in the farm and that was one of the reasons we keep succeeding. May her soul rest in peace.”
