Oyo City Boys Movement DG, Onireti, presents motorcycles to alleged PDP victims

Mr. Olufemi Onireti, the Director General of the City Boys Movement (CBM), Oyo state branch, on Sunday, presented three motorcycles, one each, to three former leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP who recently defected with him to the All Progressives Congress APC.

The presentation was inspired by his determination to reward the affected leaders who had motorcycles given to them in the PDP allegedly retrieved by some powerful PDP leaders in Ogbomoso because of their defection from the party.

The three beneficiaries are Prince Felix Akande (a former chairman of Ogbomoso South local government), Hon David Oyeniran (Adoga) and Town Planner Williams Odetunde.

“We are replacing the motorcycles recovered from them by PDP leaders because they decided to defect from the party,” Onireti said. “We don’t subscribe to politics of bitterness. These are party leaders who served PDP wholeheartedly and it was why they were rewarded with the motorcycles in the first instance. To now retrieve the bikes because they decided to play politics elsewhere smacks of intolerance. But then it shows the exit of these gladiators really hit the PDP and it was hard on then hence the uncalled for vengeance. But by the grace of God we have replaced the motorcycles. We know Prince Akande, a former banker and council chairman, is far more more valuable than a motorcycle, ditto others, but we replaced the bikes to show politics should be above vendetta.

“It is actions like that snuffing life out of PDP especially in Ogbomoso. Politics ought to be about issues and not personalities, the leaders instead should have indulged in retrospection to discover why their party is facing crisis. We encourage politics of understanding and development and not of vendetta. We affirm and we declare confidently APC is ready to sweep the polls in 2027.”
