More woes for PDP as another high profile chieftain follows Onireti’s path

Following in the footpath of Hon Olufemi Onireti as regards the Peoples Democratic Party PDP is another chieftain of the party in Okelerin ward, Town Planner Odetunde Williams Adesoji, who has also tendered his letter of resignation from the party. That makes it at least two high profile defection from the party within a week.

Commonly called “OWA” TPL Odetunde, from Jagilegbo compound, Okelerin, stated, “I wish to formally to notify you of my resignation as a member of the peoples democratic party (PDP) with Immediate effect.”

He thanked the party for giving him a platform for his political activities in the past. “I thank the party for the opportunities according me during my time as member &of the party. Accept my sincere assurance of my warm regards. Please accept this letter as my formal withdrawal from all party activities. Thanks for your understanding.”

PDP is recently enmeshed in crises from the national to the local level. There are indications that Engr Seyi Makinde might also dump the party in the coming months.

In the meantime, Onireti as well as TPL Odetunde are yet to announce their new party. Though Onireti has been seen cavorting after his resignation from the PDP with topnotches in the All Progressives Congress APC.
