Onisapa installs first Araba Oluawo

The first ever Araba Oluawo of Isapa Kingdom Chief Ifadare Busayo Ifadahunsi has been appointed.
He was conferred with the prestigious title Thursday by the Orisatolu (Onisapa) of Isapa Kingdom His Royal Majesty Oba Bolarinwa Ezekiel Olajide Olajide 1.
Speaking at the well attended event, Oba Olajide said the need to appoint the Araba Oluawo became imperative in order to fill an identified gap “especially to show fairness among the three religions.”

He described the new chief as ‘a humble and quite person,” while praying for his success in the position.

Chief Ifadahunsi whose father Fadare Akanji Orolade is incumbent Araba Oluawo of Okin-Apa in Surulere local government area disclosed the title was conferred on him without his fighting for it.
“The Kabiyesi Onisapa of Isapa Kingdom just called me and informed he would be conferring the title on me. Without being immodest l am versed in Ifa divination but there are many others who are,” he said.

Asked what his role would be as Araba Oluawo, he noted, “As Araba Oluawo l would be responsible for warding off evils in Isapa land. Ifa will guide me to perform my role as expected. The Araba Oluawo of Ogbomosoland supports my installation. I have no fear l have the support of many people.”

His father Chief Fadare expressed support for him saying he had been initiated into Ifa since childhood.

Araba Oluawo of Ogbomosoland High Chief Opeyemi Alao Ifamakinde also described the new chief as a good person and close to him.

“He is knowledgeable in ifa and he is qualified. I encourage him to continue to be good and be accommodating. I thank Onisapa for creating the position,” High Chief Ifamakinde stated.

Second wife of the honouree Princess Biola Adeyemi Adebisi Olorasoko said she’s in support of her husband on the conferment commending his “humility, good naturedness and accommodating spirit. I am sure he won’t abandon the path of good behaviour.”
