LG worker drowns a day to daughter’s graduation

A local government worker identified as Mr. Kehinde Ogunosun has reportedly drowned at Randa area Ogbomoso on Monday while attempting to retrieve a water drawer (buga) from a well opposite his residence.
According to neighbours the deceased a staffer of Oriire local government was requested by an elderly woman to help retrieve the drawer which fell into the well.
“Rather than using a hook he descended into the well where he got suffocated,” a neighbour informed ogbomosoinsightonline.com.
“When he didn’t get out in time alarm was raised and the fire service department was called, they responded but he was brought out dead.”

The incident occurred a day to his daughter’s graduation ceremony at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH Ogbomoso. The convocation ceremony came up yesterday Tuesday.
Colleagues sympathizing with the family described him as a quiet, easy-going man who will not hurt a fly.
He has since been buried yesterday.
