The commissioner congratulated the governments of Imo and Oyo as well as the federal government though rebuking the latter for failing to wipe out kidnapping and related crimes in the country despite controlling the security apparatuses. It charges the government at the centre to be proactive in curbing the “embarrassing” situation.
“We congratulate the Imo and Oyo State Governments and the Federal Government too. The Federal Government which has the preponderance of power and capacity to effectively nip this embarrassing development in the bud, must be more proactive and live up to its promise to keep citizens safer across the land.
