Zoe College, Ogbomoso has in a historic feat got accredited for the Computer Based West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) – CBWASSCE.
It is one of the 4 schools approved by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) for the computer-based test in Oyo state. Other schools according to information reaching ogbomosoinsightonline com are Sharon Rose in Saki, The Lord’s School in Oyo and The Condord School in Ibadan.

Many schools applied and underwent accreditation led by the Southwest Regional Co-ordinator of WAEC but many failed in the face of the rigorous processes of the tough accreditation exercise.
“Zoe Schools proved it was ready for the new innovation being a forward-looking school,” the Director of the school Rev’d Niyi Adebayo enthused. “We carried the banner for Ogbomoso and to God be the glory we have made the city proud. The requirements were strident but we met and exceeded them.”
The next WAEC, which starts April 24 shall thus be written in CBT (Computer Based Test) in those 4 centres in Oyo state.
In a congratulatory message to Rev’d. Adebayo, the Permanent Secretary/ Inspector General of Education, Ogbomoso zone 1, Rev’d. Dr. Dele Oyedokun, expressed joy that a school in Ogbomoso zone could meet up with the rigorous accreditation exercise.
In similar vein, parents and guardians have also been pouring encomiums on the management for investing heavily in technology and innovations.”These have now paid off,” a parent said.
Zoe Schools, investigations revealed, has been conducting her internal exams in CBT since almost 8 years ago. This is one of the outstanding reasons that gave school an edge.
Adebayo also said, “We are full of gratitude to God, this is undoubtedly a result of collective dedication of parents, members of staff and the management team. We will continue to make a cutting -edge difference.”

Towards attaining the success, the school took determined steps such as being fully ICT-compliant, camping all WAEC candidates (in the school’s hostel) for intensive coaching, group discussions, tutorials, deeper exposure to CBT, inviting professionals from outside to forge a rewarding partnership with the Zoe teachers for the grooming exercises and so on.
Zoe Schools which late last year celebrated its 20th anniversary has continued to record feats that are putting her ahead of peers.
