Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja has been described as a legendary personality who continues to unravel and increases in relevance as he gets older.
Mr. Tunde Ojediran, fcna, a Lagos-based professional accountant and businessman, made this submission in an eulogy celebrating the Oyo state former governor Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja who clocked 80 years on September 25.

Ojediran, who describes himself as a godson of Oba Ladoja from Jagun Oniyisi compound, Masifa, Ogbomoso North Local Government, observes that the avalanche of congratulatory messages celebrating the traditional ruler attests to people’s immense love arising from the impact he made.
Titled, “Eulogy to my Baba Oba Dr. Engr. Rashidi Adewolu ‘Ladoja at 80,” Ojediran said, “Baba, that several people have been pouring encomiums on you as if pouring libations to the gods on your joining the Octogenarian Class is a testament of your excellent, simple and humane lifestyle you are living.

“I have read several of them, they capture your personae, Your Excellency. The eulogies are apt, they affirm your legendary status Kabiyesi, they must do it you wonderfully contributed your quota at different times in several spheres.
“Your Majesty, to many of us you are the greatest living legend that has appeared to us as a true leader in this millennium. You are unlike the many charlatans that parade the land. .Your efforts to further the well being of the people is of no equal, your support to free the poor and peasants from poverty when you held sway as governor of Oyo state is noteworthy. The greatest of it all is that you continue to unravel and add to your relevance.

“As you soldier on in life, under divine grace, Baba Ladoja as we fondly call you, I wish you many more years in sound health and coordination. May you never depart from the path of truth. Continue to dazzle the world with your genius. Posterity will ever remember you with fondness. Love you sir.”
