BREAKING: FG proposes new minimum wage figure, Tinubu’s approval awaited

Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, has proposed N105,000 as the new minimum wage template presented to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Thursday, ogbomosoinsightonline.com has learnt.

The proposed minimum wage is slated to be paid per month to Nigerian workers.

Tinubu is said to be currently reviewing the proposal with an official announcement expected soon.

It is earlier reported that the NLC/TUC had ordered a worker’s strike over the government’s refusal to accede to its demand of a higher minimum wage of N494,000.

However after a day of the exercise, both parties went back to the negotiation table and finally reached an agreement. In fulfilment of their own side of the deal, President Tinubu on Tuesday, mandated Edun to provide a template for the new Minimum Wage latest Wednesday.
