Oriire abduction: Teacher John Olaleye killed after Michael Oyedokun’s cruel fate – Rescued victims

It has been revealed that Dn John Olaleye, one of the teachers kidnapped at Ahoro-Esinele/Yawota axis in Oriire local government area of Ogbomoso Oyo State on May 15 2026 has been killed by the bandits.

Mrs. Rachael Alamu,.principal of her school, Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, who was also kidnapped and made briefly spokesperson by the bandits, made this shocking revelation Monday afternoon while talking to newsmen at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.

Mrs. Alamu disclosed Olaleye, who was employed as a teacher in 2010, was murdered second day Oyedokun was beheaded by their abductors. It was added that he was killed to put pressure on the government to negotiate.

His fate had been a subject of controversy since Friday when others were rescued.

It was observed that his photograph was not seen in the group photograph taken by the rescued victims. Though it was stated that his wife and family jubilated upon the news of their rescue. Also apprehension gripped the people when the governor Engr Seyi Makinde disclosed that five teachers were rescued when it should have been six. Some speculated it was a slip of tongue but now it has been confirmed by the other victims that he had been eliminated.
