The service was attended by the leadership of the CAC worldwide including Pastor Segun Oladele, president of CAC Nigeria & Overseas; Pastor Makinwa, Personal Assistant to the CAC General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji; wife of CAC Director of Mission, Pastor C.S. Pastor Segun Oladele, president of CAC Nigeria & Overseas, in a chat with ogbomosoinsightonline.com said, “We knew Joseph Sunday Adegoke to have stood firm in the Lord, he is a child of God and a good servant, his death is painful but what can we do?” As he urged everyone “to continue to remain in Christ,” noting, “God doesn’t do evil but good. Apostle Ayo Babalola was only 55 years when he died; Adegoke was 59, what is important, a short or long life, is that we should remain steadfast in Christ. We, most importantly, should look forward to the upcoming government better than all earthly governments.”

Prophet M.I. Oyelade a.k.a. Baba Isaiah, founder and pastor of CAC Oke-Agbara Adura Olorun Kosehunti, Odo-Oru, Ogbomoso, also told Ogbomoso Insight, “The late Pastor Adegoke and I were associates for a long time. He loved God, a child of God, he told the truth and stood by the truth,” while praying the church, CAC Oke-Ayo particularly, the DCCs, would get a good replacement. “His ministerial duty brought a lot of developments in the Ogbomoso District and he fostered unity among churches, denominations like the Baptist and others,” Baba Isaiah added.

Pastor J.A. Areo, chairman burial committee, in his eulogy, stressed, “I knew him since about 38 years ago, I became truly a child of God through him, he re-born me and my wife into evangelism. He is a friend of God, a friend of evangelism, and lover of all, with no prejudice. He could borrow to care for others, he is a lover of God.”

Pastor Areo informed many people rose to assist financially during the burial preparation asserting the late minister of God “lived a good life that impressed people and most especially God,” while advising the children, “If they take after their father, they will have no problem. That is my only advice for them. If they can live the life their father lived., they will go through life with ease. And for the church, we should follow his teachings, he taught and lived by example. If we follow his precepts, we will have no problem.”

Tribute by wife, Esther Adenike Adegoke

We grieve, yet we hope. We ache, yet we trust. We weep, yet we worship. We know that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, for they rest from their labor “From the moment we met, our lives became a shared journey of faith love, sacrifice, and service. I came from a Muslim background, but through his life, patience, prayers, and unwavering commitment to Christ I encountered the transforming power of the Gospel. Today, by Gods grace, I am a Christian, one of the many fruits of his quiet but powerful ministry at home. You were not only my husband; you were my father, my brother, my friend, and my lover. You forgave easily, loved deeply, and comforted me even when you yourself were in pain. Through the challenges of life, through battles and victories, seasons of abundance and times of little, you remained steadfastly committed to our family and to me.

Your love for our children and for me was sacrificial. You loved your siblings, my siblings, our extended family, the church of God, and people from all walks of life with a remarkable generosity of heart. You gave selflessly, often at the expense of your own comfort, ensuring that the work of God was done. All your life, you lived for God, for the ministry, and to be a blessing to others. Truly, the joy of the Lord was your strength. You were anxious for nothing, but in all things remained thankful to God. You never forgot where you came from and never despised anyone. You were a shining model to your children and grandchildren, who adored you greatly. Though my heart aches, I hold firmly to the hope that you are now in a better place. Your love, kindness, humour, and tenderness enriched my life beyond measure, creating memories that will forever live in my heart. Goodbye, my dear, but not forever. We will meet again, forever with the Lord.
