Ogbomosoland Consultative Council pays tribute to late Justice Adeniran, as final home journey begins

The Ogbomosoland Consultative Council (OCC) has eulogized late Justice Afolabi Adeniran (rtd), who passed away few months ago and would be buried Saturday, September 27 in Ogbomoso his hometown.

Late Justice Adeniran, who passed away while serving as president of Egbe Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye, is described as an individual whose love for Ogbomoso was surpassing, asserting his death was a huge blow.

He was commended for his devotion to the cause of the judiciary saying he brought dedication and integrity to bear just as it was observed that his commitment pivoted his rising to the position of Chief Judge of Oyo state.

In the tribute, signed by Major General Oladayo Popoola (rtd) and Dr Saka Adegbite Balogun, OCC coordinators, it is stated, “Ogbomosoland Consultative Council mourns the demise of Justice Afolabi Adeniran (rtd). His passing is a devastating blow to all sons and daughters of this great land. Justice Adeniran was a consummate professional who brought dexterity, lucidity and deep reflection to his work. He rose to the pinnacle of his chosen career as Chief Judge of Oyo State through dint of hardwork, dedication and integrity. He stood for truth always no matter the cost.”

He is further portrayed as “honest, simple, amiable and conciliatory. His love for Ogbomosoland was deep and he demonstrated this throughout his lifetime affiliating with so many socio-cultural Groups and Associations that promoted the cause of Ogbomoso including Ogbomoso Parapo which he headed as President General. In all these endeavours, he served with sincerity and distinction.”

Described as a foundation member and a respected leader of the socio-cultural organisation, he was hailed for his exemplary and purposeful life.

“Justice Adeniran was a foundation member of the OCC, one of its elders. The Council placed a lot of premium on his pragmatic approach to issues and benefited immensely from his wise counsel. Justice Afolabi Adeniran lived an exemplary life of purpose and service to God, community and humanity. Baba will therefore be dearly missed by the entire membership of the OCC.”

The group prayed for the repose of his soul and to God to “uphold his family and comfort us all at this time of our painful loss. Rest in perfect peace and good night, Baba,” the tribute concluded.
