GOOD NEWS: Ogbomoso school approved for GCE (WASSCE Private) CBE Centre

It was another good news today Wednesday, June 25, as the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) approved a centre for GCE Private (CBE) for Ogbomoso Zone.

 

The accreditation team led by the WAEC’s Head of Exam himself, Mr. Tunde Abejide, impressed by the facilities on ground, approved Zoe College, Ogbomoso as a CBE centre.

 

The new centre is expected to serve the whole of Ogbomoso zone and beyond. It becomes the 4th such centre in Oyo state.

 

Recall Zoe College also became one of the four centres accredited for May/June CBWASSCE in the state and first and only one in Ogbomosoland to attain that status. It is a big credit to the school for its giant strides and breathtaking achievements, which are advancing the educational great frontier in Nigeria.

With this latest unprecedented accomplishment candidates writing GCE private via Computer Based Exam from the 5 local government areas of Ogbomoso zone will no longer need to travel to Ilorin or Ibadan.

Meanwhile, registration for the 2025 edition of WASSCE Private is ongoing online on the WAEC portal and will close on August 22.

 

According to the Federal Government, commencing 2026, WAEC and NECO will now be computer based implying the 2025 edition will be the last to be paper-based.

Commendably, the Zoe College Ogbomoso has taken the lead in embracing the future of exam in Nigeria nay the world.
