Edge Technologies’ summit on AI holds today

The Edge Technologies, a firm promoting transition to digital economy, is set for its workshop on artificial intelligence (AI) and economy, today, Saturday, June 21, in Ibadan.
Titled, “Navigating career transition in the Al-driven economy,” the workshop will hold at the ATECH Global Campus, 3, Oladosu Oladipo Close, Adjacent Kolmor College, Ashi, New Bodija, Ibadan, between 10am and 5pm.

Introduced as “The F.U.T.U.R.E of W.O.R.K Summit,” three main speakers will lead the session including Professor David S. Akanbi, a graphic designer who transited into an AI, VR/AR, and multimedia expert, he will speak on the topic, “Creativity meets technology.” Others are Prof John Ifeodira, an economist and cybersecurity expert, he will address the topic, “Lessons in lifelong learning;” and renowned Nollywood actress, Bukky Wright, who is now an info-sec expert, she will dwell on ‘Career change tips.”

According to a statement signed by Prof David Akanbi, the chairman and CEO of The Edge Technologies, “This summit will focus on the essential skills and knowledge needed to successfully transition into the IT industry,” adding, “You’ll engage with inspiring stories of real-life career transformations, gain practical guidance for navigating the digital economy, and explore clear, actionable pathways for reskilling and upskilling in today’s fast-evolving tech landscape.”

Akanbi, an Adjunct Professor at the University of the District of Columbia, Washington DC, where he teaches discovery technology, emerging technologies, and multimedia technology and also a senior e-learning specialist supporting human resources, further noted that participants will have the opportunity to “Engage with inspiring success stories of career transitions, gain practical guidelines for navigating the digital economy and explore actionable reskilling and upskilling pathways.”
