OGBOMOSO: NYCN unveils skill training on solar power installation, starts Monday

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ogbomoso zone has revealed its plan to organize an empowerment programme for youths in Ogbomoso zone of Oyo state aimed at bolstering their skills in solar power installation towards making them self sufficient.

 

This is contained in a press release signed by its zonal president, Comrade Matthew Oyewusi and made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com.

“The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ogbomoso zone is poised to empower young people in our community with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s competitive economy. As part of our efforts to promote youth development and self-reliance, we are excited to launch our hands-on skill training program on solar power installation. This initiative is designed to equip young people with practical skills in solar power installation, enabling them to become entrepreneurs, and economically independent,” the release states.

“The hands-on skill training program is a strategic intervention aimed at addressing the pressing issues of youth unemployment, poverty, and restiveness in our community. By providing young people with the opportunity to acquire this marketable skill, we are confident that they will be better positioned to contribute positively to the development of our community, state, and nation. We believe that the future of our nation lies in the hands of our young people, and we are committed to supporting this idea.”

The training program will come up between January 6 and 10 at its zonal office, behind First Bank Plc, opposite Alao Mechanic, Ogbomoso.
