Ghana’s Agogo Queen celebrates 70th birthday, Henry Newman sends congratulations

Queen Alice Afful Asmah, wife of a prominent traditional ruler in Ashanti region of Ghana, the Achim Agogo, Nana Akuoku Sarpong, today, Thursday, June 6, joins the club of septuagenarians as she clocks 70.
Saturday, June 8 will witness an elaborate party in Accra, the capital city of Ghana.
According to the programme’s invite, obtained by ogbomosoinsightonline.com, the party will hold at Dzorwulu Bethany Methodist Church Event Hall, Accra, Ghana.
Pastor Henry Newman, who is attending the shindig, describes her as a “big auntie,” whom he must join to celebrate. “Pastor Henry Newman (PHN) felicitates Aunty Alice @ 70,” he adds in a message.
PHN in his tribute further provides, “Aunty Alice Afful Asmah is a graduate of History from the University of Cape Coast, a princess from the Fanti lineage of Cape Coast in Ghana, married to a first class traditional ruler of the Achim Agogo in Ashanti REGION ( Nana Akuoku Sarpong). Her husband is a two term Minister of Health in the cabinet of former President of Ghana, JJ RAWLINGS. She is blessed with two daughters, Nana Afriyie Akuoku Sarpong, a staffer of Ghana Gas, and Nana Adjoa Sarpong a celebrity journalist with a leading radio and television station TV3 in Ghana 🇬🇭 .
