Oba Olajide, in a press statement he signed and made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com, noted, “Nigerian workers have been valuable partners in the Nigerian project and have immensely contributed to her progress and development. Their invaluable contributions over the years demand they be acknowledged always and treated with respect by government and Nigerians in general.”

The Oba also observed, “The workers are really the engine that drives the wheel of Nigeria. Their labour and sweat form the fulcrum that sustains the nation. We must rejoice with them on this occasion.”

He urged government to always recognize the efforts of workers and prioritize their welfare, averring, ”A well cared for worker will be extremely motivated to discharge his or her duty to the best of his competence and abilities and work tirelessly to uplift the country.”
