Dr Saka Adegbite Balogun, a community leader in Ogbomoso last week demonstrated a cherished virtue of the Yoruba people despite his advanced age.
Dr Balogun in his eighties and a respected leader at a meeting between the Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III and Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye at the headquarters of the socio-cultural association at Apaake, as he was about to say the closing remark, “kowtowed” to his sovereign in the full glare of the public, which he complemented with the removal of his traditional cap.
Balogun, a former Presidential Liaison Officer (PLO), Chief of Staff to Governor Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala and presently leader of Oyo state Peoples Democratic Party Elders Forum in Oyo state by the action proved his loyalty as a subject, and helped to promote the Yoruba value and rich culture.
