History beckons: Oba Olakulehin attends meeting to ratify him as Olubadan

The Olubadan-designate Oba Owolabi Olakulehin has appeared for the first time in public since the demise of the 42nd Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun Ali Okunmade 11.
He was accompanied by his first son, Sunbo Owolabi, former commissioner for water resources in the state

Recall that early this week, the Osi Balogun Olubadan, the next in line to Oba Olakulehin in the Balogun line, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, declared that the Olubadan designate was unfit to rule.

However, this submission was roundly condemned and attracted lots of opprobrium to him.
At the meeting to approve Oba Olakulehin are Olubadan-in-council comprising High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, Oba Eddy Oyewole, Oba Abiodun Kola Daisi, Oba Hamidu Ajibade, Oba Bayo Akande, Oba Adegbola and Oba Adebimpe.

The Osi Balogun Olubadan, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola was conspicuously absent at the meeting where the Olubadan designate will be formally presented to the public.
The Obas and High Chief Rashidi Ladoja are now in a close door meeting while journalists are to be briefed after the meeting.
