As part of his vision to make AA Luxury Hotels and Suites the cornerstone of entertainment in Nigeria, the Chief Executive Officer of the outfit, Bashorun (Hon.) Solomon Akinwole Akinwale famously called Wolekanle, hosted Alhaji Ramon Akanni better know as RK1 or Lecturer, on Eld-il-fitr day at the multi-billion naira hospitality complex.

Immediately after the eid prayers, fans of the top Fuji musician started trooping in to the main-bowl of the hotel, to watch the live performance of the Ogbomoso-born Fuji musician and one of the superstar musicians in Nigeria. It was an electrifying moment when Alhaji Akanni breezed into the hotel and headed straight for the podium to begin his live show.

He played and entertained people with classical music. The show was well attended by the youths, Ogbomoso people in diaspora that came to celebrate El-del Fitri at home, non-indigenes and crème de la crème in the society.

After the show, the host, Hon. Wolekanle, reiterated his commitment towards making Ogbomoso a hub of entertainment in Nigeria, like Ibadan, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja and other lively cities.

Bashorun Akinwale declared that the downturn in the economy had negatively affected the hospitality business and entertainment industry in the country. He said that with determination however on the part of government and corporate bodies, entertainment would thrive once again.

“Like I always say, I will keep supporting any effort aimed at taking our youths off crime. Just as people have seen for themselves, majority of the people who came for the show are energetic youths. During the period they have been here, they have been well behaved. It is now left for patriotic citizens, those who are concerned about the future of this country, to come to the aid of these youths by packaging programmes of this nature“.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain stressed further, “I can say it without fear or favour that most of these youths, who indulge in criminal activities, would have been responsible citizens if they had been engaged meaningfully. But, our inability to channel their energy into organised efforts is one of the factors that is responsible for the surge in criminal activities in the country”.

Hon. Wolekanle therefore, urged corporate bodies and wealthy individuals to compliment the efforts of government especially the government of Engr. Seyi Makinde towards the reformation of erring youths.
