“Like I always say, I will keep supporting any effort aimed at taking our youths off crime. Just as people have seen for themselves, majority of the people who came for the show are energetic youths. During the period they have been here, they have been well behaved. It is now left for patriotic citizens, those who are concerned about the future of this country, to come to the aid of these youths by packaging programmes of this nature“.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain stressed further, “I can say it without fear or favour that most of these youths, who indulge in criminal activities, would have been responsible citizens if they had been engaged meaningfully. But, our inability to channel their energy into organised efforts is one of the factors that is responsible for the surge in criminal activities in the country”.
Hon. Wolekanle therefore, urged corporate bodies and wealthy individuals to compliment the efforts of government especially the government of Engr. Seyi Makinde towards the reformation of erring youths.
