The Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege 111 has sent out special greetings to Major General (Dr) Oladayo Popoola (rtd) on the special occasion of his 80th birthday.
In a release obtained from the Soun Palace by ogbomosoinsightonline.com Oba Olaoye described the retired general as a blessing to Ogbomosoland and a quintessential leader.
“You have been a great blessing to Ogbomosoland. You have written not only your name but Ogbomoso’s name in gold with your immense achievements. And you have defined what leadership should be!”
The monarch further notes, “The trajectory of your life depicts a true service to God and humanity.”

The kabiyesi then charges the former military governor of Oyo and Ogun states not to relent in making contributions to the growth and development of Ogbomoso urging him to join in realizing the lofty dream of a greater city and zone.

“As you celebrate your 80th birthday, I want to inform you that I still need you to create Ogbomoso of my dream. Join us to create a community of our dream. May God renew your strength.

Soun adds, “Everything about you shows that after you have retired from the Nigerian Army, you are not tired. Even at 80, you are still very concerned about how Ogbomoso would be better than how you met it.
“Once again from the entire sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland, I wish you an energetic 80th birthday. Long life and greater prosperity in all ramifications.”

news headlines to grab people interested. You might add a related video or a pic or two to get readers excited about what you’ve written. In my opinion, it could make your blog a little bit more interesting.
