Tayo Adiatu bags New Telegraph’s Young Entrepreneur Award

Prince Dr ’Tayo Adeyemi Adiatu, chairman of Tulcan Energy Resources Limited, has been conferred with the prestigious award of Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 by the New Telegraph Newspapers.

The glamorous event held Friday at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, also had governors, corporate bodies and other individuals bagging various categories of awards including governors of Lagos, Kebbi, Bauchi, Enugu, Gombe and Bayelsa states, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Nasir Idris, Alhaji Bala Muhammed, Mr. Peter Mbah, Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya and Chief Douye Diri respectively; Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; Managing Director of Wema Bank, Mr. Moruf Oseni; and Prof Mike Ozekhome (SAN).

Also corporate bodies such as Zenith Bank, Unity Bank, United Bank for Africa, Seplat Energy Plc, Airtel, University of Ilorin, Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC); National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies; Bayo and Bunmi Babalola Foundation; Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited; Erisco; FBN Holdings; Transcorp; and Tantita Security Services Ltd similarly bagged the awards.

Welcoming awardees to the ceremony managing director and editor-in-chief of New Telegraph Newspaper, Mr. Ayodele Aminu, said the New Telegraph award was created mainly to distinguish the best in every sector across the nation.

Assuring of greater deals in the coming year, Aminu said, “The New Telegraph award night was put together to distinguish the best in every sector across the nation.

“We have in the house, those who have little things in an extraordinary way. Without any further delay, we appreciate your presence.”

Meanwhile, Adiatu bagged the award in recognition of his remarkable feat in the oil and gas industry and contributions to the economic development of Nigeria.

With a vast business interests cutting across oil and gas, energy and power, real estate, health and agriculture, the young and unassuming entrepreneur has been a source of inspiration and support for the younger generation in leadership and business.

Adiatu, who in 2023 also bagged a number of awards including an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Management from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, and Africa’s Best in Class Oil & Gas Company of the Year 2023 of the African Brands Leadership Merit Award, in his acceptance speech, said he was humbled and grateful by his nomination for the award, submitting, “the recognition is more than a personal tribute and also a testament to the journey we embarked upon at Tulcan Energy Resources Limited, which reflects the collective commitment of our entire team.”

“The acknowledgement of our efforts in creating value and meeting needs, especially from an esteemed brand such as the New Telegraph, known for its excellence in journalism, added even more meaning. The award will spur us to continue our journey of excellence, innovation, and service,” he added.

Presently in the United States of America the award was received on his behalf by Mr. Yinka Olasoko Executive Director and partner at Tulcan Energy Resources Limited.
