JUST IN: POACHING: 300 computers being evacuated from LAUTECH to Iseyin

News reaching ogbomosoinsightonline.com just now indicates that between 250 and 300 computer sets are currently being poached from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo state, to be taken to the newly founded Iseyin campus of the institution.

 

This has not however been independently verified.

A reliable source close informed, “As we speak now the computers are being loaded if the vehicle is not already on the road taking them to Iseyin.”

 

“Is that development?” the source lamented.

“How can you dismantle a place to develop another place?”

 

This is reminiscent of the planned evacuation of equipment from the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso annex to the Osogbo main hospital few years ago which was however prevented by some concerned indigenes of Ogbomoso, who quickly mobilized to stop the “heist.”

 

Recall the present administration has established a campus of the institution at Iseyin in Oke-Ogun area to host the faculty of agriculture in a manner that will make the faculty extinct at the permanent site in Ogbomoso.
