The Fellowship of Obas Forum, Ogbomoso, Friday, January 12, held a special prayer programme to mark the beginning of the year 2024.

The programme hosted by Alaaje of Aaje Ologo, Ogbomoso, HRH Reuben Adesina Amao Osunbiyi I, at his palace, was attended by many royal fathers.

In a short sermon, Prophet Nathaniel Adepoju, the set man for the Fellowship, reading from Psalm 102 vs 13, asserted God said He wants to rise for the help of the people only if they would serve Him wholeheartedly.

He therefore urged the people to serve God wholeheartedly while praying God to bestow the new Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, divine knowledge and understanding to lead his people aright.

On why the Obas Fellowship was formed he said among others the need to foster love and reduce or totally eliminate land disputes among traditional rulers, ranked high.

Meanwhile, the cleric expressed sympathy over the recent demise of “three active members” of the forum — Olowula, Alayetoro and Olodogbo, who all died in an accident in December.

Also, the Olodanbon of Odanbon, Oba Gbadebo Adepoju Idogbe Akintade I, assured the next edition will witness the presence of many more monarchs.

Also speaking, the host, Oba Amao, described Oba Ghandi Olaoye as “a colourful light that will illuminate Ogbomosoland,” and urged people to continue to pray for the Soun, as he expressed appreciation to dignitaries who attended the prayer programme.
