BREAKING: Kenyan chef, Maliha, threatens Tope Maggie’s record, now on 114th hr, collapses at 100hr
Maliha Mohammed, a renowned Kenyan chef, has reportedly collapsed while attempting to break the Guinness World Records (GWR) for the longest cooking time by an individual.
In a bid to break Alan Fisher’s record, Maliha began a cook-a-thon on Wednesday, November 15 in Kenya.

Following her sudden collapse, medics stepped in and an update has now emerged about her condition.
It is learnt the the mother of two, a former Guinness record holder, began a fresh cook-a-thon on Wednesday, November 15 more than four months after she held a trial cooking marathon in Kenya.
However, after over 100 hours, she suddenly collapsed. An update on her Instagram page showed the chef is back on her feet and has now done over 114 hours of cooking (as at the time of filing the report). It remains to be seen if she will succeed at breaking Alan Fisher’s new record.

Recall Tope Maggie a Nigerian chef went 200 hours in Ogbomoso, Oyo state, between November 9 and 18, 2023. However his attempt is yet to undergo verification by GWR to confirm if he has indeed broken Alan Fisher (Ireland) record of 119 hours 57 minutes 16 seconds set on October 3.
Another report meanwhile stated before the medical emergency, Maliha had just passed the 111-hour mark.
A video on her Instagram stories shows her lying on a stretcher attended to by what appeared to be medical personnel.
In the video, she was unconscious but conveyed that the emergency wouldn’t mark the end of the challenge.
“I am a conqueror and a marathon runner. Nothing is bringing us down; to the finish line, we go,” she wrote.
Obviously oblivious of Tope Maggie’s attempt in Nigeria she set 140 hours cooking marathon target for herself which we she hoped would consign to the dustbin of history Alan Fisher’s new record that led to the dislodgement of Nigeria’s Hilda Baci which she set in May.
Collapsed after 100hrs, then he or she has to start again, not that she should continue.
Tope Maggie did not stop, why should he continue after being on stretcher for medical attention.
