An Oyo State High Court sitting in Ogbomoso has scheduled ruling for Monday, November 27, 2023, in the motion for stay of execution order against its judgement of October 25 in the suit involving Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye as Soun of Ogbomosoland.

After the counsels to Oba Olaoye argued their application on Tuesday, Justice K.A. Adedokun reserved ruling for November 27.

Recall Prince Muhammed Kabir Olaoye in suit no HOG/27/2022 challenged the nomination of Prince Ghandi Olaoye by the kingmakers, praying for its cancellation and ordering of a fresh process.

Following the granting of the prayer of the claimant on October 25 by Justice K.A. Adedokun, the Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde (who is the first defendant) and 2 ORS swiftly filed appeal against the judgement.

Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye also appealed the judgment, as his counsel brought motion on notice for stay of execution pending the determination of the Court of Appeal.
