UNIUYO hosts 93rd Inaugural Lecture today, to be presented by Ogbomoso-born academic Prof Ayandele

Professor Isaac Ayanyinka Ayandele will today, Thursday, August 31, deliver the 93rd in the series of Inaugural Lectures of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
From Agbomojo compound, Aaje, Ogbomoso, the Professor of Operations Research and Strategic Management in the Department of Business Management, Faculty of Management Sciences of the University, will speak on the topic, “Wrong Diagnosis and Policy Somersaults: The Bane of Nigeria’s Development Strides.”
The programme which will hold at the 1, 000-seater TETFund auditorium, at the main campus, starting 3:00 pm, will have the Vice Chancellor Professor Nyaudoh U. Ndaeyo as chief host to be assisted by other members of management and Senate.
Ayandele, who is Chairman, Committee of Deans of the University, is an experienced conference and workshop speaker, with over eighty (80) well researched journal articles and conference papers published in reputable national and international journals to his credit. This is as he has published three (3) resourceful books in the field of Operations Research and Strategic Management.
The first Professor of Operations Research and Strategic Management in UNIUYO, he has chaired and served as member of several committees.

He is a recipient of several awards and commendations and a member of several other learned societies and professional bodies. Furthermore, he is a Fellow of several professional bodies, including: Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), (FNIM), Institute of Operations Research of Nigeria (FIORN), Chartered Institute of Administration (FCIA), Institute of Corporate Management (FICMN), Institute of Industrialists and Corporate Administrators (FIICA), Institute of Data Processing Management of Nigeria (FNIDPMN), Nigerian Institute of Sales Management (FNISM) and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

An alumnus of the America University of Sharja, United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he got Professional Certification in Innovation and Sustainable Development in 2018, he was employed as Graduate Assistant in the Department of Business Management, Faculty of Business Administration (now Faculty of Management Sciences) in the University in 1994, and rose to become a three (3) time Head of Department, Coordinator of Master of Business Administration and PhD programmes just as he was pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences.
Prof. Ayandele studied for his B.sc degree programme in Business Management at the University of Jos, between 1987 and 1990; obtained Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from University of Uyo and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management (specializing in Operations Research and Strategic Management) from University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1997 and 2005 respectively.
