The hike the second time in the seven week old administration of President Tinubu aftermath subsidy removal has sparked widespread outrage as a result of the unbearable hardship it has occasioned.
However, Tuesday in a tweet, Boss Mustapha exonerated the federal government explaining since the oil sector had totally been deregulated the control or determination of prices of petroleum products is no longer in the purview of government.
“The Federal Government no longer regulates the industry, the market is deregulated so it can’t control the price you purchase products.”

He assured government would raise the minimum wage and relief packages distributed to cushion the effects of the increase in the price of premium motor spirit (pms) also known as petrol while urging Nigerians to have faith in Tinubu.
“However, minimum wage will be increased and palliatives will be distributed to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal. Other policies would also be put in place to make Nigeria work again.
“We’re just 7 weeks into the administration. All the pieces will fall into place, It’s only a matter of time.
“Have faith and Trust Tinubu.”
