Nigerians groan as filling stations stop sale of petrol, price hiked to N700
The groaning of Nigerians has multiplied as the price of premium motor spirit (pms) otherwise known as petroleum is now being sold between N650 and N700 per litre.
Many filling stations ogbomosoinsightonline.com visited Tuesday in Ogbomoso were under lock and key.

“This is becoming unbearable. I bought a litre for N700 they don’t even sell again,” an okada operator (commercial motorcyclist) lamented while speaking with ogbomosoinsightonline.com.
But reacting to the new price regime the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited Malam Mele Kyari told reporters after a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima in Abuja that the price was adjusted in the face of market realities.

“I don’t have the details at the moment. You know we have the market wing of the company, they adjust prices depending on the market realities.”
Meanwhile many Nigerians have expressed displeasure.
“We had expected things to improve under Tinubu but they are getting more difficult. A tricycle is now N1.7m, a motorcycle is N510,000. A bag of rice is N36,000. We can only rain curses at those making life unbearable for us,” an angry transporter moaned.
A civil servant also said, “Market forces, market forces why is it that they are the ones market forces always favour, why has the price not come down once? It is always increasing. It can’t continue like this.
“They are talking of palliatives, they are taking of salary increase, is it after we all die of high blood pressure that something will be done?”
A lot of Nigerians have also gone on social media to berate President Bola Tinubu’s administration while mocking his supporters.
