Tinubu receives Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, AVM Bolaji Adigun, others at Aso Villa

President Bola Tinubu has received the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon Oba Francis Olushola Alao and his wife Olori Olusola Adedoyin-Alao at Aso Villa Abuja.

Others who accompanied Oba Olugbon to the meeting with the Nigerian president which held 3pm Friday are Air Vice Marshal Bolaji Adigun (Rtd.), who is Akogun of Ogbomosoland; Chief Nnena Ukeje; Otunba Tomi Araromi; Chief Mrs. Bimbola Adedoyin-Fadahunsi and Prof Adeolu Akande.

 

However details of their discussion is not known.

Olugbon, a deputy chairman of Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, recently celebrated his 60th birthday cum six years on the throne of Igbon which he commemorated with the commissioning of the Igbon Palace he built and conferment of chieftaincy titles on a number of dignitaries including the Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, with the milestones culminating in a glamorous party at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, attended by the creme-de-creme in the society.

The monarch has been enlarging his coast and that of Igbon since coming to the throne with a view to attracting developments to the community.

 

It is recalled Oba Alao solidly supported the election of Tinubu to be president once telling ogbomosoinsightonline.com in an interview that as a Yoruba traditional ruler he had to support the ascension of the former Lagos state governor to the presidential seat.
