Olusegun Abayomi Areo who went missing in June 2022 in Ogbomoso, Oyo state, is still being looked for by his family.

“We have not lost hope of seing him, we continue to look for him, we are hopeful of seeing him again,” the younger brother of the 47 year-old missing man, Oluwole Areo told ogbomosoinsightonline.com Wednesday.

The missing man

The missing man, a bricklayer, who augmented his income by engaging in commercial motorcycling (okada) got missing in late June 2022 while at work.

Ogbomoso Insight reported the incident at the time that he usually operated from the okada terminal in front of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, and had arrived there that day for business. But he was never seen again.

The matter was reported at the police station but all efforts to track him had proved abortive.

“There was a time we went to look for him at a village in Ibadan after some people said he was sighted there but it was a dead end,” Oluwole further informed.

In a Facebook post July 4, Oluwole wrote pleadingly and dejectedly, “Please, anyone who knows his whereabouts can call this number 07062030077. Missing since last year June please help me find him.”

His wife, Yemisi, speaking with ogbomosoinsightonline.com said sorrowfully it had been hellish.

“It is a bad experience for me and our three children and for the family at large,” Yemisi, a cloth seller, added.
