Friday through Sunday was one fraught with palpable fear in the palace of Onpetu of Ijeru kingdom as a daughter of the monarch, Oba Sunday Oladapo Oyediran, Princess Tomilola fell into the hands of dare devil kidnappers while traveling from Lagos Friday evening.

It is reported widely how kidnappers went on a kidnapping spree on Lagos-Ibadan expressway that day with many travellers waylaid and abducted.

Several others were killed from gunshots wounds as they tried to escape from the criminals suspected to Fulani herdsmen.

Princess Tomilola was one of the victims that was taken captive.

But news reaching ogbomosoinsightonline.com just now indicated the princess had regained freedom.

The palace erupted in joy as news filtered in that she was on her way home after spending close to 48 hours in the den of the kidnappers.

Meanwhile, it’s not clear whether ransom was paid and how much if so.

“Whatever, what is important is that she came back safely,” a palace source told ogbomosoinsightonline.com.
