More details have emerged on how the wife of Mr. Remi Odetomi, Mrs. Grace Olayemi Odetomi, was killed on Friday, June 25, 2021, in their Ashi, Bodija residence in Ibadan.
Confirming the incident yesterday evening, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Adewale Osifeso, said that the deceased was shot by gunmen who invaded their residence.
Osifeso disclosed however that investigation was on, promising to give more details later.
ogbomosoinsightonline.com also learnt through residents of the area that the gunmen struck at about 10.am on motorcycles to carry out the dastardly act.
Mrs. Odetomi reportedly died immediately after being shot.
When ogbomosoinsightonline.com visited her parents’ residence at Ogbomoso Baptist High School area, Ogbomoso, on Friday evening, sympathizers were already gathering with the father of the deceased, Pa Adeniran, responding to our reporter’s question that he was still in the dark at to what really happened.
“Yes, we heard it but we don’t know how it occurred,” he said.
In her sixties, the retired primary school teacher and former First Lady of Ogbomoso South local government is survived by husband, Mr. Odetomi, a former Commissioner of Agriculture in Oyo state, gospel artiste and philanthropist; children, parents and siblings.
