This is dawn of new era – Oyo Majority Leader Adedoyin hails appt of new Soun

Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin the Majority Leader, Oyo State House of Assembly, has congratulated Prince Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye, over his ratification as new Soun of Ogbomosoland by the Oyo state government.

It is recalled the announcement was made Saturday by the Oyo state government via a letter signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, Commissioner for Information and Orientation.

 

Adedoyin in a press statement he personally signed, applauded the choice of Prince Ghandi Olaoye by the kingmakers as well as hailing the Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for ratifying the selection.

Sanjay, as he is fondly called, described the choice of Prince Olaoye “as round peg in round hole” noting that the Soun-elect is a man of impeccable character, “very educated and well exposed with a network of friends and associates across the Nigeria and abroad both in the private and public sectors.”

He said, “Let me seize this opportunity to appreciate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde for approving the appointment of Olaoye to be the next Soun of Ogbomosoland,” adding “I congratulate the king-elect, the leaders and elders in Ogbomosoland, Ogbomoso Parapo Worldwide, Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association, Ogbomosoland Consultative Council and the entire sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland for the dawn of new beginning.
“I pray for successful reign that will usher in accelerated growth and development for the land of the valiant and Oyo State as a whole.”
