Attended by few party bigwigs from the council area, the meeeting insightonline.com learnt arrived at the choice of Ogunlade who resigned as party chairman Tuesday allegedly after heated arguments.
Detail of how the lot fell on the former Leader of Ogbomoso North local government Legislative House is still sketchy but it’s gathered that a leader of the party who is emerging as Makinde’s main man in the council area swayed the ticket in his favour.

The said leader who bagged an appointment as an Executive Assistant to Governor Makinde last week won the argument and got the slot conceded to him to pick the candidate of his choice.
“Yes, the governor had ratified the choice,” a source privy to the meeting told insightonline.com.
In the light of this the primary election earlier scheduled for today Friday was cancelled.
If the decision stands it means the incumbent, Akanji Kabiru Ayoade and his vice, Adija Oritoke Aremu a.k.a. Rainbow, who began the struggle for the ticket have lost out. “Such is life, that is the way of politics.”
Calls made to Ogunlade were not answered while acting party chairman Hamzat Moberi simply said “The primary is not necessary again, whatever the governor directed is what we abide with.”
In the meantime supporters of Ogunlade are in jubilant mood over the turn of event.
