Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the professional team at Genesis Medical Diagnostics Centre and GenesisCardio Lab, the Centre’s advanced cardiovascular diagnostics arm. They were taken on a guided tour through various departments, including Haematology, Histopathology, Microbiology, Immunology, Radiology, and the Echocardiography Unit, where experts demonstrated cutting-edge diagnostic technologies used in patient care.

From seeing microscopes and slides in action to watching ultrasound and ECG procedures, the students were captivated by how science transforms into life-saving interventions. The interactive tour allowed them to ask questions, engage directly with professionals, and learn about the roles of biomedical scientists, radiographers, sonographers, and cardiology specialists.

The highlight of the visit was the interactive career mentorship session, where the Centre’s experts discussed the diverse career paths in medical science — from laboratory research and diagnostics to public health and clinical medicine. The discussion emphasized that every discovery starts with curiosity and every great doctor, scientist, or technologist was once a child who asked “how” and “why.”

In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of Genesis Medical Diagnostics Centre, Prince Victor Oyetayo Olawuyi, commended Zoe Group of Schools for prioritizing science exposure at an early stage. He described the visit as a demonstration of visionary education that prepares children not just for exams, but for impact.

“Education is more than classrooms and textbooks. It is about discovery, exposure, and mentorship.
