Danafojura’s masquerader Sunday Babatunde dies at 46

Chief Sunday Babatunde the custodian of the popular Egungun Danafojura in Ogbomoso is dead. He was forty six years old.
He died Monday morning at the Bowen University Teaching Hospital, BUTH, Ogbomoso.
According to his relatives he slumped on Saturday while in the bathroom and was rushed to BUTH.

He however gave up the ghost this morning, ogbomosoinsightonline.com was told.
Many sympathizers were seen at their residence at Alakasu area, Ogbomoso, when our reporter visited the family compound.
Late Chief Babatunde became the custodian of the powerful Egungun a few years ago after he was chosen by Ifa. He once founded a church which he led before assuming the role of the masquerader of Danafojura. He until his death operated a beer parlour known as Obureke.
