An Ogbomoso man simply identified as Obasanjo (OBJ) has lamented the seizure of 32 bags of rice belonging to his wife by operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
According to the distraught husband whom ogbomosoinsightonline.com spoke with on phone Tuesday the consignment was seized at Igbeti, Olorunsogo local government area of Oyo state enroute Ogbomoso.

Men of the NCS often seize such items believed to be snuggled from neighbouring countries.
But he blamed the driver of the vehicle. “We had told the driver to hold on, that customs officers would be on patrol, we didn’t know he would not listen. He now called on phone that the rice had been seized. He is to be blamed,” he bemoaned.

OBJ expressed little hope, when asked, of retrieving the bags of rice which he put at 32, as he said, “the chances are extremely slim.”
He regretted that would be the first time such “calamity” would befall his wife, informing however he was not aware if there were other victims as at Tuesday morning when he was spoken with.
