Ogbomoso: Ex-council boss loses dad

A former chairman of Ogbomoso South local government, Prince Felix Akande, has lost his father to the cold hands of death.

The deceased, Prince John Olateju Akande, passed away March 6 at the age of 102.
He hailed from Lagbami Osekun royal family of Onpetu dynasty.

Prince Felix Akande made this known through his Facebook account.
Akande, who was council chairman in the 2000s, in the statement noted, “With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well lived and experienced, we announce the passing of our Patriarch PA Prince John Olateju Akande of Olu-Oje Onpetu dynasty to his heavenly abode on 6th March 2024, at age of 102 years.
“The Bible says in Eccles 3:1-2 “To everything there’s a season,……A time to be born, and a time to die”
“Baami, you lived a worthy and exemplary life that all your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were able to imbibe. You’ve impacted our lives positively which has become indelible to erase. You can’t be forgotten so soon!
