Club owners’ boss Okonkwo sends new year message to members

The President of Nigeria National League Club Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA) Hon. Chidi Emmanuel Okonkwo has welcomed members of the association into a new year praying the year will be a prosperous one.

 

This is contained in a press release issued by the association’s secretary Kunle Oyeleye.

 

“I am elated to welcome all our members and their family into the brand new year 2024.

 

“I wish you prosperity, promotion and success in the new year. May God bless you all. Happy New Year to us all.”

 

Hon Okonkwo charged members to remain steadfast in the new year and not to rest on their oars.

 

He said the successes recorded in the past years should be downplayed towards “making greater successes in the coming years. We should push our league higher and higher.”

 

 

Also, he praised all the actors and stakeholders in the Nigeria National League for their cooperation and steadfastness in the running of the league, submitting, “that’s why l am taking out time to celebrate and appreciate members and executives of NALCOMA.”

The chairman equally extended greetings to “all our potential sponsors and pray that expansion and prosperity shall attend their corporate entities in this new year.”

 

While appreciating the board and management of the national league, he congratulated those who he said have been responding to call to service using their talents and resources for the most important league in Nigeria.

 

He therefore urged docile members of the board “to wake up for the development of football in the country, it is a collective responsibility of all.”

 

“Let me call on my members to celebrate their players as key stakeholders in the business of this game therefore players’ welfare is germane in this period and always.

 

“Players are the reason club owners and stakeholders exist in the football development and business.

 

“To this end, I wish all members of the club owners, players, sponsors, management and board of the National League and above all spectators and fans across the country a prosperous New Year.”
