Alaaje Ologo Ogbomoso harps on abiding by New Year resolution, security consciousness, congratulates Makinde, Soun, other Obas

Alaaje of Aaje Ologo in Ogbomoso North local government area of Oyo state, HRH Oba Reuben Adesina Amao Osunbiyi I, JP, dss rtd, has charged Nigerians and his subjects in particular not to jettison their New Year resolutions noting abiding by them holistically is a path to a better living.

 

This is as he congratulated the Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde; Soun of Ogbomoso Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olusola Alao; Onpetu of Ijeru, Oba Sunday Oyediran Lagbami Osekun III; Aresa of Iresapa Oba Moses Olayiwola Ajiboye III; Alaajawa of Ajaawa Oba Adeyeye Oyetunji Olumole III, as well as other Alongo rulers and other Obas and chiefs in Ogbomoso zone on seeing the year 2024.

 

Oba Amao in his New Year message made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com noted that the turn of the year is often a good time to rediscover oneself and makes resolutions on the things to change about one’s life in order to live a more meaningful life.

 

He said resolutions made at a time like this when we are sober constitutes a good time to reflect and decide on what our life should look like, appealing that the resolutions made as the year 2024 unfolds should be abided with.

 

“New Year New Resolution is a phrase we are all familiar with. One time or the other we all have made New Year Resolutions. The regrettable thing however is that we often discard them the moment the year begins to roll.

 

“I want to reemphasize that the period of a new year is the best time to make candid appraisal about our life, it is the time to rediscover ourselves. At this time, we are sober and we are able to make revealing and refreshing reflections. It is the best time to re-lay the foundation of a better life.

“In essence, I want to charge us to live in abidance with the resolutions we have made and if we have not made we should endeavour to make one. But more than making New Year Resolutions the more important thing is to abide by the resolutions made so that we can improve our lives. We should take this as my new year message.”

 

The Alaaje congratulated the Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III and the people of Ogbomoso in general on the occasion of the new year celebration wishing the monarch a prosperous and peaceful year ahead.

 

He adds, “Kabiyesi, we align with your vision of development for a greater Ogbomoso, we the people of Aaje Ologo are fully in support. We beseech Your Majesty however to incorporate Aaje into the development plan. You represent light, as you have stated many times we await the illumination you will bring.”

 

Felicitating the other Obas, he stated, “Your Majesties’ goals shall be fulfilled this year.”

 

He also congratulated the executive committee of Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye and all sons and daughters of Ogbomoso on the new year celebration.

 

Alaaje enjoined the people of Aaje Ologo to continue to strive towards excellence asserting it is the pathway to success.

 

“We are formatted for glory as our name indicates but we must work assiduously to attain it. It will not stick to us, we have the task of unlocking the coven of glory. Let us continue to unite irrespective of the guile of agents of destabilization active outside against us.

 

“We have found our path, let us stick to that path, let us embrace peace, let us strive to cooperate and unite to have a greater Aaje brimming with various developmental projects. Aaje is for peace and collaboration. Let me remind you that we now have an enlightened leadership in Aaje, one not given to selling of people’s lands to make ends meet or bribe people. Let us support the leadership that is new millennial compliant,” the monarch said.

Meanwhile, he informed a broad based meeting of Aaje people under the aegis of Aaje Descendants Development Union (ADPU) involving both at home and in the diaspora will soon come up.

 

In another development, the retired Director of Department of State Security (DSS) urged Nigerians to be security conscious “in order to avoid falling victims of the prevailing insecurity situation in the country.”
