CORONATION: With 2 teaching hospitals, abundant opportunities, Ogbomoso a modern city – Oba Ghandi tells dignitaries

The new monarch of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, has told dignitaries at his private residence his community is not rural but a thriving city with abundant opportunities.
Oba Olaoye whose coronation comes up today made this disclosure as he steps out to greet the dignitaries who had traveled from all over the world to witness his date with destiny.
The coronation will feature presentation of staff of office to him by the Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde.
He said Ogbomoso is home to two standard teaching hospitals and it is probably the only other city after Lagos in Nigeria that boasts such.
“Ogbomoso is not a village. As you can see, no, it is the only city that houses two teaching hospitals.
“We have LAUTECH Teaching Hospital and Bowen University Teaching Hospital. Ogbomoso is probably the second and only city that has such after Lagos. So, it is not a village.”
The monarch also stressed, “I am confident the city is a land of opportunities which can be tapped into.”
The Soun Stadium where the event will hold is already being thronged by lots of people who are eager to witness the event.
