Shock as Kaduna ministerial nominee slumps while being screened by Senate [VIDEO]

The Nigerian Senate Chamber was enveloped in shock Wednesday afternoon as a ministerial nominee from Kaduna state, Abbas Balarabe Lawal, slumped while undergoing the screening process.

The incident occurred during a session to assess the nominee’s qualifications and suitability for a ministerial position within the government.

The nominee was reportedly answering questions posed by senators when he suddenly collapsed.

Senators and medical personnel present in the chamber rushed to provide immediate assistance.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who was presiding over the screening, immediately suspended and asked the cameras of video journalists to be put off.

The nominee was swiftly taken to the hospital, and his current condition remains undisclosed.

This incident occurred as Abbas Lawal, along with Jamila Bio Ibrahim from Kwara state and Mr Ayodele Olawande from Ondo state, underwent the screening process.
