To avert govt shutdown, FG offers N25K provisional wage for all workers
Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that the N25,000 provisional wage increment for the average low-grade worker would now cover all workers.
Gbajabiamila made the announcement at the meeting with the representatives of the federal government at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Sunday evening.
Earlier during his independence speech, Tinubu announced a provisional wage increment for the average low-grade worker to cushion the effect of the removal of the petrol subsidy, which the organised labour however rejected.
The organized will meet again Monday to consider the new offer of N25, 000 for all categories of workers and decide whether to go on indefinite industrial action starting October 3.
