Also, it makes an earnest appeal to ensure greater security of lives and properties as well as to enforce security agents to abide by the dictates of the constitution especially in the aspects that have to do with maintaining human dignity.

“We also appreciate the sustainability of the economy and security of our dear nation which has drastically improved despite the many challenges in the hundred days in office.

“We want Mr President to now focus on developmental projects that will boost the economy of the nation in a way that will make life easy for Nigerians.

“We also want concentration on the security of lives and properties of people and to also charge the law enforcement agents to respect the right to the dignity of the people as enshrined in section 14 (1) (2) (a) (b) (c) and section 34 (1) (a) (b) and (c) of our 1999 constitution as amended in the spirit of true democracy and social justice.”

In similar vein, SPANCI expresses appreciation to Oyo state governor Engineer Seyi Makinde for fasttracking approval of Obas and traditional rulers in the state appealing to him to mandate the traditional rulers to assist in fight against “criminalities and criminals including land grabbers, of which some traditional rulers are also culpable,” which it notes, “will bring checks and balances to their activities as Obas and traditional rulers.”

The group which untiringly wages war against security agents’ excesses such as alleged human rights violations and support for oppressive individuals, in hailing the appointment of the new Soun remarks, “We congratulate His Emperial Majesty Oba Pastor Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye the Soun of Ogbomoso for ascending the throne of his ancestors.

It also charges the new monarch, “We also want him to use his good office to check some criminalities which include land grabbing and criminal conspiracy prevalent in Ogbomoso and its environs in which some traditional rulers, influential personalities and some law enforcement agents are culpable by which some innocent indigents are in court and others in correctional centers (prisons) based on wrongful conviction and miscarriage of justice.”
