Very influential Ogbomoso service cum social club, Ogbomoso Pivotal Club, has described the appointment and installation of His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III as the Soun of Ogbomosoland as the best for the city at this point in time of her history.
The club, “a non-political, social and philanthropic club of patriotic and committed Ogbomoso sons living in Nigeria and in diaspora with focus on the improvement and development of the town and her people” notes the desire for greater development in the community makes the selection of Oba Olaoye a welcome development and why he is generally acceptable, adding that he is humble, committed and visionary judging by his past achievements.

Oba Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege who was installed by the kingmakers on Friday September 8, 2023, is already in seclusion to undergo the mandatory traditional rites (Ipebi).
In a congratulatory message, signed by its president and secretary Sir (Prince) Orimadegun Agboade and Engr. Akintayo Akintola respectively, the club submits, “Your appointment as the new Soun of Ogbomosoland is a divine one and your nomination cannot come at a better time than now when the town is in thirst of humble, committed, visionary, divinely and physically connected Prince.
“No wonder the overwhelming acceptance of your nomination by the entire Ogbomoso Sons and Daughters and subsequent approval by the Oyo State Governor.
“Your election by the ruling house, Bayewuwon Olaoye family, and subsequent approval by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Oluseyi Makinde is good news to us and also a welcome development to the good people of Ogbomosoland.”
