The long wait for new Obas to occupy vacant stools in Oyo state might be nearing an end as information reaching ogbomosoinsightonline.com Saturday afternoon reveals a number of Obaship nominees have been signed by the governor.
The sources close to the seat of power which disclosed the signing happened early Saturday however failed to mention the stools affected.
“But I can assure you the governor has signed letters of approval of nominees for some vacant stools across the state but I don’t know which and which,” the source informed ogbomosoinsightonline.com.

Recall that following the demise of some traditional rulers in Oyo state in the last two years including that of Ogbomoso (Soun), Oyo (Alaafin), Iseyin (Aseyin), Ikoyi-Ile (Onikoyi), Igangan (Asigangan) and so on many of these stools have remained vacant following either controversies over the nomination like in the case of Ogbomoso or non-conclusion of the process by the ruling houses and kingmakers.
In the meantime, we wait for the news as it unfolds.
