Girl who scored highest UTME mark in Ogbomoso bags award

Helen Omobola Alabi, who is believed to have scored highest (328) in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination from Ogbomoso zone of Oyo state has been rewarded with sponsorship of training in coding at SQI institute by Rev Peter Olaleye Charity Foundation.

Helen Alabi, a student of Smith Baptist Academy (SIBAO), Ogbomoso, received the award Saturday during the school’s 19th graduation ceremony.

Speaking at the award ceremony Rev Peter Olaleye, President of the newly established foundation said the gesture was in recognition of the awardee’s performance in the examination noting it is meant to motivate her to seek higher pedestal and encourage others.

“In recognition of your impressive feat in the year 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination that saw you scoring 328 mark, this non-profit organization – ‘Rev Peter Olaleye Charity Foundation’ -has decided to encourage you with sponsorship of a coding training at the SQI CODING SCHOOL either in Ogbomoso, Ibadan or Abeokuta.”

Disclosing the training will take few months, Rev Olaleye explained, “Coding is useful in creating digital solutions which we hope will be useful to you later.”

Olaleye who is president of Ogbomoso Community Youth Forum added, “Consider this as our token of congratulation and motivation to do better. We wish you the best in the journey of life.”

Helen is the outgoing senior girl of SIBAO currently sitting for NECO in the school.
